What does 'no win, no fee' mean?

This policy insures you against any liability if you lose, either for your own disbursements (including the actual insurance premium itself) or the Defendant's legal costs. If your case is successful, the Defendant has to pay this insurance premium in addition to our fees. If you lose, the insurer pays all your opponent's costs and for your disbursements, and you are not asked to pay anything at all.

We receive no commission on the insurance policy, it is designed purely so you can have peace of mind and access to justice without any financial risk. We advise you as to the most suitable policy and as a specialist firm, we are authorised to use Accident Line Protect, the only insurance policy actually endorsed by the Law Society.

Disbursements and the insurance are paid for as we go along with your case and in most cases, we are able to arrange funding of these disbursements. You do not have to pay us any money to make your claim.

If you lose you are protected by your no win, no fee agreement with us and by the Accident Line Protect insurance policy. If you win most, if not all, of our fees, the insurance premium and the disbursements should be recovered from the Defendant, and you receive your compensation.
